الداء والدواء للإمام ابن قيم الجوزية

This is a book in very beneficial , upon  guidance, as well as beliefs & has Shari’ah Laws within it. Imām Ibn al-Qayyim works deals within its chapters, with the subject of the purification of the soul and its evaluation, according to the Islamic perspective, where the reader travels between its chapters, passing through advice and admonitions . The book deals with the ills of the evil that inclines within ourselves , showing its flaws and shortcomings, and showing the power of lusts over it; at the same time warning against the tricks and schemes of Shayton in leading the soul into sins and misdeeds, and relying on the life of the world and its adornment.

He also wrote this book in response to a man who asked him the following question: "What the scholars say with regard to a man tried by a tribulation, and learned that if it continued it would corrupt both his world and the Hereafter? He has worked hard to get rid of it by all means, but unfortunately he could not, what can he do to get rid of it? May Allah’s mercy be upon he who could help one who is afflicted with a tribulation and Allah helps the servant as long as he helps his brother. Advise us may Allah reward you." The Imam, may Allah have mercy on him, replied by writing this book.
