Aʿlām as-Sunnah al-Manshūrah li-Iʿtiqād aṭ-Tāʾifah an-Nājiyah al-Mansūrah is one of the most widely taught creed texts of Ahl as-Sunnah. Shaykh Hāfiz al-Ḥakamī wrote it in a question-and-answer format that is easy to study and memorize. It covers tawḥīd and its categories, the pillars of īmān, iḥsān, the Sunnah and its opposite in innovation, and other foundations of the creed of the Saved Sect, all with evidence from the Qur'ān and Sunnah.
In this commentary, Shaykh Aḥmad an-Najmī, the former Muftī of southern Saudi Arabia and a student of Shaykh Ḥāfiẓ himself, explains the text and adds benefits gathered throughout it. His explanation is clear and grounded in the evidences and the understanding of the Salaf. It brings out the meanings of the text and warns against the errors that oppose it.
